Exclamation points don't even being to tell the story :)

My doc dated me from my O date (since I knew that practically down to the minute), but then they'll probably wait to give you the "official" date until they can measure the little babe in a few weeks.

I had my first RE ultrasound at 6.5 weeks, just barely big enough to see the heartbeat. Then I had another one at my "regular" OB at 10 weeks to date it and measure it.

I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!!Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17621870121330381229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4269012581724203902.post-53094508586563387112010-01-11T09:13:23.129-06:002010-01-11T09:13:23.129-06:00I'd go with your O date until your OB says oth...I'd go with your O date until your OB says otherwise. Of course with my history that may be why they did one so often however I'm pretty sure they waited until 6 weeks or so to do one so that i wouldn't stress about the heartbeat. I am so excited for you guys!! I will update you tomorrow on how everything goes for me...went to the hospital today for blood work and the babies were so little!! I was like there is no way he will be that little, right?? agh!Lesliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07448060512879506900noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4269012581724203902.post-68008614563494735692010-01-10T20:34:54.872-06:002010-01-10T20:34:54.872-06:00You're right Stef, a long cycle and late ovula...You're right Stef, a long cycle and late ovulation would mean that an EDD based on LMP would over-estimate how far along you are. But I can't figure out why "What to Expect" would have such a different EDD - they must use a different system but I can't understand why. Strange!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4269012581724203902.post-38230311794501313562010-01-10T18:10:48.788-06:002010-01-10T18:10:48.788-06:00However far along you are, I wish you a healthy, h...However far along you are, I wish you a healthy, happy pregnancy. Because of the spotting/heartbeat issues and also because my doctor is kind of wand happy (she would give me ultrasounds at regular checkups when I wasn't even TTC).

But they were planning to do the heartbeat check during week 7 and I suspect that's when she would have dated it and sent me on to an OB.Secret Sloperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16007764157682145537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4269012581724203902.post-13676991237993916922010-01-10T13:59:37.768-06:002010-01-10T13:59:37.768-06:00I wouldn't think they'll do an ultrasound ...I wouldn't think they'll do an ultrasound tomorrow-- If I go with the most conserative estimate I'd only be 5 weeks on Tuesday, so I'm guessing they may wait until the following week to look for a heartbeat? Is that when you had yours done? Between 6-7 weeks?Stefanie Blakelyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13084332204236959880noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4269012581724203902.post-69233268308957782842010-01-10T13:40:22.446-06:002010-01-10T13:40:22.446-06:00I was never given an "official" due date...I was never given an "official" due date by my doctor during my pregnancy for those very reasons--the delayed ovulation caused a discrepancy between the size of the embryo and the LMP-method of dating. Maybe I would have been given one around my 6/7/8 week ultrasounds if the baby had been progressing normally.

Are you having an ultrasound during your visit tomorrow? If so, be prepared to see essentially nothing at this point. We saw a teeny tiny smudge during the u/s in our 4th week (at which time the m&m nickname was born).Secret Sloperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16007764157682145537noreply@blogger.com
