When you live in Alabama, you don't see much snow... and when you do, it's kind of exciting.
Friday, we got between 2-3 inches in Birmingham. I didn't get out of work (although all of the schools were closed), but I did snap some pictures of our Winter Wonderland.

Rob and I celebrated Valentine's Day yesterday. He surprised me with not one bouquet of roses...
We also went out for a nice dinner last night. The food was great, but I have to say that a gourmet meal is kind of wasted on me right now-- my taste buds are off & I'm hyper vigilant about everything on the do not eat list. The restaurant we went to is mostly seafood and while I could have KILLED for some Grouper, it's on the Highest Mercury fish list and I just couldn't do it. Still, it was a very sweet surprise and we had a great time.
Is that your house? It's super cute! We got about a foot last week and are due for a few more inches starting late tonight and into tomorrow. We're actually below our average for snow fall this year. I read that 49 out of 50 of our states have seen snow this year - that's crazy!
ReplyDeleteYour house is so cute! And the flowers are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove the snow pics! So sweet Rob showers you with roses on V-day!! My hubs does NOT do that, but I let him cook for me, instead. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your house and what a great hubby! Very sweet! I'm in Atlanta (close enough anyway) and I was tickled pink with the snow. It was so pretty. My other half who is from Conn...not so much. I think many poeple think we are crazy for wanting snow but here in the South it is here one day and gone the next. Perfect right?
ReplyDeleteYour house is so pretty in the snow! I must confess, I love it even though we've been dumped with it over and over this winter.
ReplyDeleteThose flowers are mighty nice, too!
Love the snow pics! I wish it snowed in so cal.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures!!! It looks so pretty! I'm glad you had good vday!
ReplyDeleteLove the pics - your house is adorable! Glad you have such a sweet hubby to spoil you on Valentine's Day! You deserve it!
ReplyDeleteThose roses are beautiful! It cracks me up because I live in Alaska, and as everyone in the lower 48 is getting snow, ours seems to be melting... Global warming at it's best!
ReplyDeleteYour house is gorgeous, your flowers are gorgeous, and I'm sure you looked gorgeous at your V-day dinner :) I know what you mean about a nice dinner being wasted on you at this point. But let me tell you -- wait a few more weeks! You will magically turn back into yourself, and it is glorious.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures of the snow and BEAUTIFUL flowers. I'm glad you had a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures!! I cant even imagine snow in Alabama!!! Awesome!
